The history and activities of Shonan philharmony

We, Shonan philharmonic Chorus has started as the former name of  “ Singing group of Faure Requiem” in 1984 and after overcoming some difficulties we’’ve been continuing music activities aimed for performing choral concert with orchestra. Adding to above regular concert we have many activities throughout a year such as the annual charity Christmas concert at Chigasaki Catholic church, participation of regional choral festivals and etc. As we are always aiming for the progress of artistic quality and technique, we practice every Saturday night and have more intensified one-day training.  We also have camp-training that stay in together to enhance our music and mutual friendship. 　　Next concert Shonan philharmony presents  　 　 Carl　Orff　CARMINA　BURANA 　　　　　　　　　　 　　　 Ｃｏｎｄｕｃｔor : Tsutomu matumura 　　　　　　　　　　 　　　　 Orchestra： Gloria chamber orchestra 　　　　　　 May. 16th(Sun) 　2010  　Begins at 　　　　　　　Ｙｏｋｏｈａｍａ　Ｍｉｎａｔｏｍｉｒａｉ hall
